Dreamboats and Petticoats

Last night Chandler (my flatmate) and I went to see Dreamboats and Petticoats in the West End (West End is similar to Broadway in America). We got tickets for only 13 pounds, but you can see our seats weren't that great. Especially when the people came and sat in front of us. And then we were surrounded by a giant Chinese family... They were talking in Chinese and passing food around the entire time. And the lady next to me slept through the entire thing. Anyway, it was really cute!! The songs were all from the 50s and 60s, so I didn't recognize most of them, but in several parts of the show I could hear the audience singing along!

Afterwards, we went to meet some of Chandler's friends from USC at a bar close by. It was really cool! It was like a tiki bar/ Hawaiian themed. We apparently met the guy who will be the Bachelor in the next season! I have a picture with him... we'll see in March if he was actually telling the truth! We left a little before midnight to make sure we caught the last Tube train back to campus (I wish they ran just a little later...) Who ever knew a Monday night could be so fun?!

  1. That reminds me of a certain Phantom experience we had when a man in a red jacket refused to let us watch in peace...typical! The show sounds cute! The bar that y'all went to sounds fun!! Hawaiian theme is cute! That is AWESOME about the guy from the Bachelor!! If that was really him that's like the coolest thing ever! Leaving a little before midnight - sounds like Cinderella lol! I'm so glad you're having so much fun!!!

    1. Haha I didn't feel like Cinderella, I totally was not dressed to go to a club at all!! But it really was such a fun night! Its always those certain kind of people.... namely Red Jacket and Chinese Family Reunion.

  2. Probably a good thing trains don't run past midnight on school nights, eh? Well, next time, you'll just have to move a little closer to those Chinese people and see if they'll share their food with you!

    1. They don't run past midnight on any nights. And people do stuff on school nights all the time, especially since most people only have class 2-3 days a week!

    2. That is early since most college students don't even start things here til midnight half the time!
